A573 Grade 70 Steel Introduction and Excellent Properties

A573 Grade 70 steel is a general purpose structural quality carbon steel conforming to ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) A573. It has high strength, toughness and wear resistance, and is often used in applications such as the manufacture of bridges, buildings and other heavy structures.

A573Grade 70 steel has the following excellent properties: High Strength: A573Grade 70 steel has a minimum yield strength of 290 MPa and a minimum tensile strength of 485 MPa.

Good toughness: A573Grade 70 steel shows good toughness in impact tests and can be used at low temperatures.

Good weldability: A573Grade 70 steel can be welded by conventional welding methods and is not prone to thermal cracks.

Good corrosion resistance: A573Grade 70 steel is corrosion resistant to a certain extent and can provide a long service life in some environments.
