ASTM A572 Grade 50 Steel

ASTM A572 grade 50 steel is a low-alloy high-strength structural steel with a yield strength of 50 ksi (345 MPa) and a tensile strength of 65 ksi (450 MPa). It has better mechanical properties than ASTM A36 steel. ASTM A572 contains 5 yield point grades: Grade 42, Grade 50, Grade 55, Grade 60 and Grade 65. Products cover structural steel shapes, plates, sheet piling, and bars. ASTM A572 GR 50 steel equivalent European standard is EN 10025-2 S355 steel.

A572 material grade 50 steel is widely used in engineering structures, construction steel structures, construction machinery, mining and mountain machinery, trucks, bridges, pressure vessels, etc., especially for construction and engineering machinery components that require good weldability and toughness. For example, riveted or bolted structures or welded structures for bridges and other applications.
