S355K2 carbon steel plate chemical composition

The composition of S355K2 carbon steel plate is characterized by low carbon, less than 0.20%, low alloy and total alloy elements less than 3%. The low carbon content of S355K2 carbon steel plate can meet the technical requirements of plasticity, toughness, weldability and cold deformation of S355K2 carbon steel plate used for engineering structural parts.

The main additive of S355K2 carbon steel plate is Mn, which accords with the resource characteristics of China. Mn not only has a significant strengthening effect on ferrite, but also reduces the cold brittleness of S355K2 carbon steel plate, increases the content of pearlite in S355K2 carbon steel plate, and further improves the strength.

In order to improve the properties of S355K2 carbon steel plate, the addition of trace V, Ti, Nb, Al and other refined grain elements not only further improves the strength, but also improves the toughness of S355K2 carbon steel plate. Sometimes rareelement re is added to S355K2 carbon steel plate to eliminate harmful impurities, improve the shape and distribution of inclusions and weaken their cold brittleness. A small amount of alloying elements can improve the mechanical properties of S355K2 carbon steel plate.
