What is the difference between the material of S275JR steel plate and the material of Q235B steel plate

1. Different chemical composition

The chemical composition of S275JR steel plate material includes: carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, nitrogen, copper, etc.

The chemical composition of Q235B steel plate material includes: carbon, silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, chromium, nickel, copper, etc.

2. Different uses

The material of S275JR steel plate is general carbon structural steel.

The Q235B steel plate is made of carbon steel for special purposes, such as bridge steel, marine steel, etc. It is mainly used for welded structural parts with high quality requirements in construction and bridge engineering.

3. Different experimental techniques

S275JR steel plate usually does not undergo heat treatment. If required, impact energy tests at room temperature of 20°C, 0°C, and -20°C can also be done.

Q235B steel plate is subjected to normal temperature impact test, V-shaped notch, design pressure P≤1.6MPa, and service temperature is 0~350℃.

4. Different performance

S275JR steel plates are generally steel rods, steel plates, steel strips, wire rods, and forgings, with excellent strength.

Q235B steel plate has certain elongation, strength, good toughness and castability, and is easy to stamp and weld.
