What material is EN 10083-3 50CrMo4 steel

EN 10083-3 50CrMo4 steel 1.7228 (50crmo4) belongs to European standard alloy structural steel, executive standard: en 10083-3-2006.

EN 10083-3 50CrMo4 steel belongs to super high strength alloy structural steel, which has high strength and toughness, good hardenability and no obvious temper brittleness. After quenching and tempering, EN 10083-3 50CrMo4 steel has higher fatigue limit and multiple impact resistance, and has good impact toughness at low temperature.

At high temperature, EN 10083-3 50CrMo4 steel has high creep strength and rupture strength. EN 10083-3 50CrMo4 steel is suitable for manufacturing large and medium-sized plastic moulds with certain strength and toughness.

EN 10083-3 50CrMo4 steel can be used to manufacture big gear, supercharger drive gear, pressure vessel gear, rear axle, connecting rod and spring clip with great load, as well as drill pipe joint and fishing tool for oil deep well below 2000m, and also used for bending machine mould.
