A283GRB carbon steel is a building material composed of chemical components such as silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus.
Elongation (δ5/%) ≥ 21 (a>150mm)
Tensile strength (σb/MPa): 375-500 C ≤0.20% Mn % ≤1.4A
283GrB carbon steel can be expressed as boiling steel, semi-killed steel, killed steel by F, b, z, respectively. Boiling steel is incompletely deoxidized steel with poor plasticity and toughness. Welded structures made of this material are prone to cracks in the joints when subjected to dynamic loads. It is not suitable to work at low temperature, and sometimes hardening phenomenon occurs.
In contrast, killed steel is of high quality and uniformity, with good plasticity and toughness.
Mechanical properties of A283GrB/C carbon steel Modulus of elasticity (E/Gpa): 200~210 Poisson's ratio (ν): 0.25~0.33
Chemical composition of A283GrB/C carbon steel:
Si ≤0.35% S ≤0.045 P ≤0.045
A283GrB/C carbon steel is widely used in construction and engineering structures. A283GrB/C carbon steel is used to make steel bars or to build factory buildings, high-voltage transmission towers, bridges, vehicles, boilers, containers, ships, etc. It is also widely used for mechanical parts that do not require high performance.
