Introduction of stainless steel 321

Stainless steel 321 is a stainless steel based on an iron-chromium-nickel alloy, and titanium is added to stainless steel 321 to enhance its high temperature resistance. Stainless steel 321 is similar to stainless steel 304 and stainless steel 316L, but stainless steel 321 has better corrosion resistance and heat resistance in high temperature environments.

The main components of stainless steel 321 are: iron (Fe), carbon (C), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), titanium (Ti), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S ) and other elements.

The chemical composition of stainless steel 321 meets the ASTM A240 standard, and the content of chromium and nickel in stainless steel 321 is slightly higher than that of stainless steel 304 and stainless steel 316L, respectively 17-19% and 9-12%. In addition, the titanium content of stainless steel 321 is on the order of 5 times the carbon content, which is a key factor for stainless steel 321 to maintain stability in high temperature environments.

Stainless steel 321 has good corrosion resistance, especially in high temperature environments. Stainless steel 321 can be used at a high temperature of 800 to 1500 degrees Celsius, and has good oxidation resistance, which can prevent oxidation and corrosion under high temperature conditions. Therefore, stainless steel 321 is often used in applications such as pipelines, storage tanks, heaters, and automobile exhaust pipes in high-temperature environments.

In general, stainless steel 321 has good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance, and is often used in applications that need to be used in high temperature environments.
