Surface quality of S550Q steel plate
Defects harmful to use such as cracks, air bubbles, scars, folds and inclusions are not allowed on the surface of the S550Q steel plate. There shall be no delamination on the side of the S550Q steel plate. If there are surface defects mentioned above, cleaning is allowed. The cleaning depth shall be calculated from the actual size of the steel plate, and shall not exceed half of the thickness tolerance of the steel plate, and the minimum thickness of the steel plate shall be guaranteed. Defect cleaning should be smooth without edges and corners.
Other defects are allowed, and their depth is calculated from the actual size of the steel plate, and shall not exceed half of the allowable thickness tolerance, and it shall be ensured that the thickness of the steel plate at the defect is not less than the allowable minimum thickness of the steel plate.
