ASTM B443 625 is a nickel-based alloy

ASTM B443 625 alloy (also known as Inconel 625) is a nickel-based alloy that has gained attention due to its high corrosion resistance. It implements ASME SB443 and ASTM B443 standards, which specify its manufacturing and quality control requirements.

ASTM B443 625 Alloy Features:

Excellent corrosion resistance: In a variety of media, including chloride media, 625 alloy shows excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, intergranular corrosion and erosion. Even under high temperature conditions, it can maintain its stability without sensitizing tendency.

Excellent mechanical properties: It has good machinability and weldability, and will not be sensitive to cracking after welding.

Wide range of applications: Due to its high corrosion resistance and high strength, it is often used as a thinner structural component.

The ASTM B443 standard specifies the chemical composition of 625 alloy in detail, mainly including nickel, chromium, molybdenum, iron, copper, titanium, aluminum, silicon and other elements. The content and proportions of these elements are precisely controlled to ensure optimum performance and stability.

ASTM B443 625 Alloy Applications:

Chemical process industry: Due to its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength, 625 alloy is widely used in the manufacture of equipment and components in the chemical process industry.

Petroleum and petrochemical industry: In the coal chemical industry, petroleum and petrochemical industry, 625 alloy is often used for high corrosion resistance parts.

Aerospace: 625 alloy is also used in the manufacture of aerospace engine parts, aerospace structural components, etc., because it can maintain stable performance in high temperature and high pressure environments.

Flue gas desulphurization system: In flue gas desulphurization system, 625 alloy is used in the manufacture of absorption towers, reheaters, flue gas inlet baffles and other key components.
