Composition and application of A633 steel plate

A633 steel plate is a low alloy high strength steel plate. A633 steel plate complies with American standard ASTM A633. A633 steel plate is usually manufactured in a hot rolled or controlled rolling state, and can be subjected to various forming processes, such as welding, cold bending, cutting, etc.

The chemical composition of A633 steel plate includes the content of elements such as carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and chromium. The chemical composition of A633 steel plate mainly includes the following elements:
Carbon (C): 0.18% max
Silicon (Si): 0.15-0.50%
Manganese (Mn): 1.00-1.35%
Phosphorus (P): 0.025% max
Sulfur (S): 0.010% max
Chromium (Cr): 0.25% max
In addition, A633 steel plate may also contain trace elements such as copper (Cu), nickel (Ni) and niobium (Nb).

The content of these elements can improve the strength, toughness and corrosion resistance of A633 steel plate, while maintaining good weldability and processability.

A633 steel plate has excellent toughness, strength and corrosion resistance, and is widely used in ships, marine engineering, construction engineering, aerospace, military and other fields. A633 steel plates are usually manufactured into various structural components such as bridges, towers, machines and equipment, etc.
