EU anti circumvention investigation on China corrosion resistant steel

On November 26, 2019, the European Commission launched an independent anti circumvention investigation on the corrosion resistant steel originated in China: the Commission has sufficient evidence to prove that the products involved in the case originated in China evade the current anti-dumping measures against the corrosion resistant steel in China by changing the export mode. The EU CN (combined nomenclature) codes of the products involved are ex72104100, ex72104900, ex72106100, ex72106900, ex72109080, ex72123000, ex72125061, ex72125069, ex72125090, ex72259200, ex72259900, ex72269930, ex72269970 (TARIC Codes: 7210410030, 7210490030, 7210610030, 7210690030, 721090892, 7212300030, 7212506130, 7212506930, 7212500901 4, 7212509092, 7225920030, 7225990023, 7225990041, 7225990093, 7226993030, 7226997013, 7226997093). Except for the following products: silicon electric furnace steel, high-speed steel, and not further worked than hot rolled or cold rolled (cold reduced).

On December 9, 2016, the European Commission issued a notice that, in response to the application of eight EU producers representing corrosion resistant steel production accounting for more than 53% of the total production of similar products in the EU, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation on the corrosion resistant steel originating in China. On August 10, 2017, the European Commission announced that it had made a preliminary anti-dumping judgment on the corrosion resistant steel originating in China. On February 8, 2018, the European Commission issued a notice that it made an affirmative final anti-dumping decision on the corrosion resistant steel originating in China and decided to impose 17.2% - 27.9% anti-dumping duty on the products involved in the case.
