MRI: prediction of China's steel export volume: a significant decline in the same month on month ratio in October

In September, China exported 5.333 million tons of steel, an increase of 333000 tons on a month on month basis, down 594000 tons from the same period last year. In terms of varieties, in September, the export of rod and wire was 695000 tons, down 31.9% year-on-year; the export of steel plate was 3333000 tons, down 4.8% year-on-year; the export of steel pipe was 692000 tons, down 10.5% year-on-year; the export of coated steel sheet (strip) was 588000 tons, up 1.7% year-on-year.

According to the survey data on domestic steel export in October by the export research group, the domestic steel export volume in October 2019 decreased significantly compared with the month on month, or less than 5 million tons.
