ASTM A387 Gr11 CL1 and CL2 steel plates are a kind of relatively easy to fabricated steel plates, and the addition of the alloys chromium and molybdenum to steel brings characteristics which are particularly desirable for units operating in high temperatures.
Both alloys of ASTM A387 Gr11 CL1 and CL2 steel plates improve high temperature strength, molybdenum improves high temperature creep strength, both improve hardenability and there are additional benefits from wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and impact resistance.
