S355J2WP steel is a hot rolled structural steel with anti-corrosion feature,also called weathering steel and atmosphere corrosion resistance steel,under standard EN10025-5.The main alloying elements are chromium nickel and copper with added phosphorous which gives it excellent self protecting qualities.
Weathering resistance steel plate S355J2WP under EN10025-5 shall be done impacting test at minus twenty centi degree with the minimum energy 27 J.Comparing with steel plate S355J0WP which shall be at zero centi degree.S355J2WP steel has the barrier layer owning to the chemical contents,the formation of this layer can keep approx. four years and prevent water,oxygen and sulphur dioxide from contacting the surface of S355J2WP steel plate.
