What is 15CrMo steel?

15CrMo is an iron-based alloy and a heat-resistant steel material. This alloy steel has good thermal strength and oxidation resistance. Its high temperature yield strength and tensile strength are higher than ordinary carbon steel, and it also has good plasticity and toughness. In addition, 15CrMo steel also has good processing properties and welding properties, and is easy to perform heat treatment and surface treatment.

The chemical composition of 15CrMo mainly includes carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo). The specific content range is: C accounts for 0.12~0.18%, Si accounts for 0.17~0.37%, Mn accounts for 0.40~0.70%, Cr accounts for 0.80~1.10%, and Mo accounts for 0.40~0.55%. The combination of these elements gives 15CrMo excellent high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.

Regarding the delivery state of 15CrMo steel, it should be delivered in accordance with the standard regulations. It is usually delivered in a normalized and tempered or quenched and tempered state. This processing state helps ensure that the material has stable mechanical properties and high temperature resistance.

Heat treatment is an extremely effective measure to improve and modify the properties of 15CrMo alloy round steel. It plays a very important role in product reliability and economy.
