12Cr1MoV steel plate features

12Cr1MoV is a high performance alloy material, its unified digital code A31132, according to the GB/T3077-2015 standard.

12Cr1MoV steel plate features:

 

High oxidation resistance and thermal strength: Compared with 12CrMoV steel, 12Cr1MoV has higher oxidation resistance and thermal strength.

 

The creep limit is close to the value of the lasting strength: this steel has a high plasticity in the case of lasting tension.

 

Good manufacturability and weldability: however, it is necessary to preheat to 300℃ before welding and remove stress after welding.

 

At 580℃, it still has high thermal strength and oxidation resistance, and has high lasting plasticity.

 

The production process is simple, but it is sensitive to the normalizing cooling rate.

 

Long-term use will produce the second type of temper brittleness caused by impurity elements such as phosphorus at the grain boundary, and pearlite spheroidization phenomenon.

 

It has certain corrosion resistance, but it needs to strengthen protection in the humid and corrosive gas environment.

 

The chemical composition of 12Cr1MoV mainly includes carbon (C: 0.08 ~ 0.15%), silicon (Si: 0.17 ~ 0.37%), manganese (Mn: 0.40 ~ 0.70%), chromium (Cr: 0.90 ~ 1.20%), molybdenum (Mo: 0.25 ~ 0.35%), vanadium (V: 0.15 ~ 0.30%), and a small amount of phosphorus (P≤0.35%), sulfur (S≤0.35%), copper (Cu≤0.25%) and other elements.

12Cr1MoV steel is mainly used after normalizing and high temperature tempering, and is often used in the manufacture of superheated steel tubes, catheters, snake tubes and other corresponding forgings in high pressure equipment whose operating temperature does not exceed 570 ° C. 12Cr1MoV steel is widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, machinery manufacturing and other fields, especially in high temperature and high pressure environments, such as high temperature and high pressure vessels, boilers, pressure vessels, petroleum cracking units, chemical equipment and so on.
