JIS G4304/4312 SUS 420J1 Stainless steel

JIS G4304/4312 SUS 420J1 Stainless steel is a stainless steel material with specific chemical composition and mechanical properties. It belongs to a kind of ferritic stainless steel and is widely used in many fields because of its unique properties.

JIS G4304/4312 SUS 420J1 Stainless steel Features:

Good corrosion resistance: 420J1 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance to water, steam, air and a variety of chemicals, so that it can maintain stable performance in a variety of environments.

High hardness: This stainless steel material has a high hardness and can withstand a lot of wear and abrasion, so it is particularly suitable for the manufacture of parts that need to withstand high wear.

Good workability: 420J1 stainless steel is easy to process and mill, and its mechanical properties can be changed by heat treatment to meet different application needs.

The main chemical components of JIS G4304/4312 SUS 420J1 stainless steel include carbon (C), chromium (Cr), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn) and phosphorus (P). Among them, the content of carbon is between 0.16% and 0.25%, the content of chromium is between 12% and 14%, and the content of silicon, manganese and phosphorus is controlled below 1%, 1% and 0.04%, respectively. The precise ratio of these elements gives 420J1 stainless steel its unique properties.

JIS G4304/4312 SUS 420J1 stainless steel has excellent mechanical properties. Its high tensile strength enables it to meet the needs of a variety of high-strength applications. At the same time, it also has good elongation and section shrinkage, showing good toughness and plasticity. These properties enable 420J1 stainless steel to maintain structural integrity and stability when subjected to external forces.

Due to its unique properties, JIS G4304/4312 SUS 420J1 stainless steel is widely used in many fields. It is often used to manufacture knives, kitchenware, mechanical parts, such as kitchen knives, scissors, blades, surgical instruments and so on. In addition, due to its good corrosion resistance and economy, 420J1 stainless steel is also used to manufacture some parts that need to withstand high strength pressure loads, such as automotive blades, hot oil pumps, shafts and bushings.
